Effective date: October 22, 2026
This policy explains what information the Android game Lantern Drift ("the game") handles and why. The game is made by TOPNOTCHER Philippines ("we", "us"). If you have a question, email us at topnotcherphilippines@gmail.com.
The game saves your progress and settings in its private storage on your phone: the stages you have finished and their stars, your fireflies, the lanterns and items you own or have equipped, missions, daily gift dates, which "New!" cards you've seen, the items you've bought, and your sound, music and vibration settings.
This information stays on your phone. It isn't sent to us or to anyone else, and we can't see it. It's deleted if you uninstall the game or clear its storage in your phone's settings.
The game offers optional reward videos, for example to keep flying after a crash or to double the fireflies you earned. A video only plays when you tap to watch one. The game has no banner ads and no ads between runs. Ads are limited to content rated for general audiences.
The ads are provided by Google AdMob through the Google Mobile Ads SDK, which is built into the game. Google says the SDK automatically collects and shares the following information:
| Information | Examples |
|---|---|
| IP address | Can be used to estimate your general location, such as your city |
| Interactions with the app | App launches, taps and video views |
| Diagnostic information | How the app and the ad SDK perform, such as launch time and stability |
| Device identifiers | Your Android advertising ID and the app set ID |
Google uses this information to show ads, to measure them, for analytics, and to prevent fraud and abuse. Depending on your choices and where you live, the ads may be personalized. Google sends this data over encrypted (TLS) connections. To learn more, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
If you buy Ad-Free Rewards, reward videos are no longer shown and the rewards are given right away. The Google Mobile Ads SDK is still part of the game, and Google may still collect the information above when the game starts.
You can buy firefly packs, Ad-Free Rewards and the Starter Pack. These purchases are handled by Google Play Billing. Google processes your payment under the Google Privacy Policy and the Google Play terms. We never receive your card number or other payment details.
After a purchase, Google Play tells the game on your phone what you bought (the item and a purchase token), so the game can give you the item and restore it if you reinstall. The game checks purchases on your phone and doesn't send this information to us. We can see basic order details (such as the item, price and order ID) in our Google Play developer account, which Google provides so we can manage sales and refunds.
If you contact us, for example with About & Credits → Email us in the game, we receive your email address and whatever you write. The draft email includes the game version and your phone model to help us answer bug reports. You can delete that line before sending. We use your message only to reply to you, and we'll delete it if you ask.
Lantern Drift is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you think a child has sent us personal information, for example by email, contact us and we'll delete it.
We don't keep your game data, because it never leaves your phone. You can delete it any time by uninstalling the game or clearing its storage. Information collected by Google is kept and deleted under Google's own policies, and you can manage it with the ad choices above.
Depending on where you live, privacy laws such as the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 and the EU General Data Protection Regulation give you rights over your personal information, including the rights to access, correct and delete it, and to object to its use. Because we don't hold your information, you can exercise most of these rights through your phone's settings or with Google. You're always welcome to email us, and we'll help where we can.
If the game changes how it handles information, for example by adding cloud saves or leaderboards, we'll update this page and change the effective date above. Please check back from time to time.
